76% Sauvignon Blanc, 24% Petit Manseng. A brand new wine for Glen Manor, this wine combines our two white grape plantings on the property. Two separate fermentations took place – one with Sauvignon Blanc, and another a co-fermentation of Sauvignon Blanc and Petit Manseng. The two lots were then blended and rested in stainless steel barrels. This wine is dry and drinks similarly to a Rhone white varietal, with a lush mouthfeel.

Vineyards

Located on the west slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains, around 1200 feet above sea level, and growing in deep and well-drained rocky soils.

Sauvignon Blanc was the first grapevine planted here in 1995 and we have since expanded with two more plantings. Petit Manseng, planted in 2008, consists of 1.5 acres at a planting density of 1361 vines per acre. The vines are cane pruned and trained to the Double Guyot system.
